Mission

IDSR's mission is to discover and disseminate knowledge through the holistic systems of the Quran, for the betterment of the individual, the family, the community, and the world. Central to our work is a systems approach: rather than examining events and ideas in isolation, we study how they connect, interact, and shape one another, using tested methods and rigorous analysis. Drawing on the knowledge accumulated through this work, we seek to help create an environment in which people can thrive in harmony with one another and with the natural world and spaces we all share. To advance this mission, IDSR encourages scholarly research, organizes and participates in symposiums, and supports publications grounded in this systems-based methodology, including through our associate journal, Islam Today Journal.
